Can someone explain me how can I upload a torrent to the tracker?

I've made all things properly, then when the tracker gave me the PID i'm no more a seeder but a leecher? The torrent is dead right from the beginning...

After you upload you're suppose to download the *.torrent file from that torrent, select the files you want to seed and run it.

But upload what Shoon?

Let's see:

I'm using utorrent.

1. Ctrl+N to create a new torrent
2. Selected the folder to put the files on it
3. Put
http://tracker.amiga.me/announce.php
http://tracker.amiga.me:2710/announce

on the tracker field
4. Save
5. Uploaded the .torrent to the tracker.amiga.de using the upload button and made all the necessary fill of info.
6. Send, then it gave me another .torrent file with my PID and saved it with on my computer
7. clicked on new .torrent file. OK now tracker is accepting my files but I pass from seeder to leecher?

I've posted a torrent to Demonoid once and everything worked well so I assume that i've made something wrong in this one.

Looks like you're doing everything right now, I can see you as a leecher.
Now you will have to wait a few minutes for the tracker to accept your torrent, same thing on UG, patience is a virtue.

If it doesn't start in 30 minutes you can continue with the complaining

Your client (uTorrent I assume) should start to check the files (show a progress bar) right away once you downloaded the torrent file with the PID. Most likely you have the files in another folder than the one you download your torrents to. Move the files to your torrent download folder, delete the torrent from uTorrent and load it again. Hope this does the trick.

Yes it was indeed that TCD many thanks. Now I've realized that I've included the original .torrent on the list. Ha what a mess!

Well next time will go better, I think. Seeding anyway! 64Kb/up dedicated only for this tracker...

Easy: Save original .torrent file to the files' directory. Not working? Damn!! Make a second .torrent. Select again the folder with the first .torrent on it already...and so on... Now you can see the picture....

As they say, the first one is always the hardest...

Now people start downloading that supreme original copy!!!

Is there a way that I can transfer my downloads onto another computer for seeding? I have a spare computer that I can put them on (with a different connection - it would be silly to download it all again!)

Sure. Put the files in the download folder for uTorrent on the other machine, download the torrent and see the magic happening

Haven't found out how to direct the torrent to look in another folder with uTorrent. If someone else knows that, please tell us how to do it

Until then : Download folder or nothing

You mean this?

If so: right click, select the above options and choose any folder you want on any drive.
