The only reason it's not featured on HOL is because it's not yet occurred to anyone to submit it. Last edited by prowler; 11 January 2016 at 21:28. Reason: Spelling. |

Nice to see some kind words for Downfall even now. I enjoyed making both versions - the ECS version was the first and it was great for us to finish the game so quickly and the AGA version looked a bit slicker at very little effort in terms of code (although probably more from Predseda with the graphics). In an effort to be a little less modest may I point you in the direction of Maxwell Mouse And The Missing Game Mystery too! One day the full game will be finished I swear... |

Belgarath (or anyone else really),
With the one of the games you've suggested; "Genesia", do I need to install this onto HD? Tried running the .ADFs and it asks me "is the game installed on HD"? "Yes / No". I select No, type in a name, the game reboots and goes through the same loop |

No you don't have to install to HD, you click no but then you have to follow the onscreen instructions very carefully.
edit: main thing is use df0: only, write enable disk 2 as it tells you to and when the game reboots it loads from disk2 which then goes into the game proper. |

So many games to configure; doing a sort of "speed dating" run No joking really; that would totally avoid the point of testing if I was to be rushing things. |

Ok, problem with Genesia was that I had all three disks inserted into DF0 + DF1 + DF2...
After Belgarath's hint I had only the first 2 disks in DF0 + DF1; then you get the message about putting Disk 3 into DF0, the game does it's stuff, reboots and all is fine |

Of course I could but it would be a bit of a mission...
I have the games stored under the directory "C:\WinUAE\Games". Each game then has it's own directory and inside this there are: 1) .ADF or .IPF files. 2) sometimes .TXT files for Cheats / Hints / Level Codes / Walkthroughs etc... 3) sometimes .DOC files for information like above. 4) sometimes .PDF files for Manuals. If I was to create a DAT using ClrMamePro and point it to "C:\WinUAE\Games" isn't it going to add 2 / 3 / 4 also? This isn't good... I mean I could move all the 2s / 3s / 4s out of the individual game directories before creating a DAT file but that's going to be a real pain in the bum |

just do a search for *.adf or *.zip whichever it is in your games dir, and then from the results copy them all into a new dir.

...did this exact thing a month or so ago when I was grabbing my collection of .TXT / .DOC / .PDF / .PNG files related to Cheats / Hints / Level Codes / Walkthroughs so that I could send to someone in one zip archive. |
