It's not that bad Rabbit If you like strange humour you will have a good time, but when you know the games there are so many more things that could be in there If you don't have to pay for it give it a go mate

YEAH! I remember that show (I would have been all of 8 or 9). Brilliant stuff. I also got American Gothic from the shop last weekend, that was pretty awesome if you get a chance to see it.

Someone (sorry my memory is that of a goldfish...) spoke of 'Nicholson Joker vs Ledger Joker'. Same argument as Connery 007 vs Moore 007 vs Brosnan 007. Each actor brought something unique to the role, and guess what? So will the next actor make it their own and the whole debate can start again!!

Though postal is by far the best of his movies (whatever that means...). It's almost watchable without crying in pain

already signed it, of course. I feel ashamed for not making a post about it really :s

But on topic:

Yesterday I showed "the lion king" to my girlfriend. She had only seen it in Spanish and you just have to admire this masterpiece with the original voices. She thinks that it is not really that special. What are your opinions about this beautiful piece of animation craftsmanship? Brilliant or overrated?

Technically it is a masterpiece in every category, but i think the animals are generally too humanised, to match the characters of the voice actors. Maybe your girlfriend has the same complaints.

Soundtrack for Lion King is great, as for the most of Disney's movies.

I listened to your complaints, and I haven't seen In the name of King. Instead I watched complete season 1 of Heroes.

saw "Seed of Chucky" a second time yesterday. It remains a funny little addition to the Child's Play series and it even includes crossdressing. What more do you want?

The reference to the Shining near the end is brilliant

Saw "Black Snake Moan". I was interested in this movie because of the controversial nature of it.

Well... I'm not too fond of seeing Cristina Ricci taking off all her clothes on a regular basis. Why couldn't she do that back in the days when there was still some meat on her bones? She looks very ill and unattractive in this movie (according to wikipedia, she ate very badly to make her appear that way in the movie).

Other than that, the movie is actually quite good. It is a bit heavy on the senses, but the acting is solid and the blues music sets a very nice, dark, gloomy mood. I especially like it when Sam takes out the electric guitar, the sounds that come out of it made me shiver. There is even a laugh or two in the movie somewhere among all the gritty, unpleasant scenery.

Be warned when attempting to watch this movie; it is not the average hollywood flick. This movie kicks you in the stomach hard right from the start and slowly lets you recover as it progresses. If you are squimish regarding to violence against women and/or unpleasant sex scenes, do not watch it. Otherwise it is good for a single watch, if you absolutely have nothing more pleasant to watch. The movie is not bad at all, just... a little gruesome. But beautiful in its own way.
