It is fair to say I've put a lot of practice into this...
512,400 Some quick tips: - a lot of luck is needed regarding what pickups you get when you beat the dreadnought. However if you can get the Smart Bomb weapon GRAB IT. As well as a shield to start the next level with (especially later on when you get bombarded with turrets and Uridimines from the first second). Smart bombs need to be used rather sparingly but they do cause tremendous damage and can take out a whole wave and other enemies in one fell swoop. Failing that, homing missiles are pretty cool also. (On level 6-2, one wave of enemies leave behind a smart bomb - since I died quite a lot, I got a lot of use out of it as I kept picking it up again and again - this boosted my score fairly considerably.) - any multiplier bonuses combined with points bonuses - get them. Absolutely get them. It makes a massive difference. - you also have to perfect the art of leaving the dreadnought at just the right time before you're about to lose all your shield. It's very very hard sometimes but it's worth it for another few pickups appearing - you never know what might turn up. - also, it's only fair to point out that although I don't go out to score leech, it can be very difficult to avoid minor incidents - from 5-1 onwards it can be rather tricky to find the landing strip (one memorable incident involved the strip being situated right at the very start of the level - that took ages to figure out) so you do end up naturally taking out any remaining enemies to keep yourself alive. Hope this is of some use! Just to show such a score is indeed possible, albeit you do need a hefty slice of luck and a little bit of milking of a large amount of lives. |

Seeing the score of Graham, I wanted to redo a game.
And I still had a freeze, yes again Yellow card for Andrew Braybrook But it's an excellent coder so no red card I drop, good job Graham I will try to complete this game maybe for the knockout ! |

The freeze is a bit of a pain. But still, if I've beaten Rexsu I've had to pull something special out of the bag
Bring it on for the Knockout, I'd say |

That's a hell of a score Graham. My hat is firmly off.
This compo has made me appreciate Uridium 2 more than I already did. |

And that's that and congratulations to, er, me actually
Well I enjoyed that one! I love this game big time. Leaderboard updates and new round threads to follow very soon. @bombermax How did it freeze? It may have been a game bug rather than a WinUAE/config problem. |
