It's true/sad that we're growing old, but hey let us not forget that we spent our teenage years playing with AMIGA!!!

Just say this six year old post (and mine)... we're all a bit older now.. I wonder if it was easy to find the OLDEST member by some quick DB query?

34 now...
Thinking about it though, I must not of had my amiga for long.... I was going to get a screen gems pack, but eneded up with something that diamond made up from a stock ecs amiga and a bunch of games... So it weas probably Christmas '90 that I got it. Left school in 94, and Had jumped over to a pc by that point, nearly went for a 1200, but decided a pc was better at that point... I was kind of right too as the amiga was basically dead a year or so later. So I think I got a pc christmas 93, so I only had 3 years of Amiga, probably at its height too. |

The Amiga had a massive impact on me when I was a kid, almost magical...This must be why I've retained an interest ever since. Even when I didn't own Amiga hardware for several years I still logged onto various forums every once in a while.
I reckon I got my first Amiga 500 in 1994 so I would have been 11, still remember it very well. I'd used Commodore 64's for a couple of years previous. I traded my A500 + a CB radio with a friend for an A1200 in about 1996 ;-) By the end of 1997 I'd sold my Amiga and bought a PC with Windows 95. I bought an A500+ in 2002 but never really got back into it, think I was too busy partying!! I moved to Australia in 2007 (I grew up in the UK) and started thinking about buying an Amiga again, started off with an A2000, now got myself an A1200, Thats my story ;-) |
