Ah sorry, no real Amiga, "just" WinUAE with standard Gamebase WHDLoad settings.

(maybe a Gamebase Amiga question then? - but Gamebase Amiga plays WHDLoad games directly from KG collection)

I don't use a key (yet).

Does it need a key to run, because it doesn't indicate so. Should I register WHDLoad for this reason? (plan to, but not for this reason)

No it doesn't need a key but the symptoms you said sounded like a pirated whdload.key.

Please use cycle exact under winuae.....it could help.

KG I didn't know that whdload would have such mechanisms.

Then again I didn't know someone has pirated whdload at all (didn't expect given that we are not in 1988)...

Anyway, seems the issue is unrelated to wizball and I have managed to make unstable my whole Amiga "boot" disk - wizball was just the first sign... now to look for my backups...
