kick40068.A1200

I have problems running some games using WHDload that require the above mentioned kickstart-file. Games that require the 34005.A500 run without any problems. I'm using the amiga-os-310-a1200.rom from Cloanto's Amiga Forever.

I put it in devs:kickstarts (well c:\winuae\hd\devs\kickstarts\) and renamed it to kick40068.a1200, I also put the RTB-File and rom.key in the same directory. Still, when I try to run Breathless (for instance) via WHDload i receive the message that my kickstart image is invalid. Unfortunately, I don't have access to an Amiga 1200 and thus can't grabkick a rom.

Can anyone help me out, please? Am I doing something wrong or are there known problems with the Amiga Forever roms? If so, where can i get different roms that might work?

You should Google and download the proper a1200 rom, as you legaly own the rom image anyway it should't be an issue.

If the Rom file dosent fix it check the Max Transfer value in HDToolBox, Breathless is one of the WHDLoad Games that will quit with this error when setup wrong.

My problem has been resolved, the PM was quite helpful.

However I've never used a CF Card to copy a rom from an original Amiga, might try it some day.

A copy of the kickstart rom can be made if you use amigaexplorer you just copy the .rom file to the pc side ( just for the info, PM will also work

)

The newer ROMs also need the latest WHDLoad beta 17.0 http://whdload.de/whdload/whd170.lha

Sorry to resurrect an old thread but I'm having the exact same issue trying to run Pinball Illusions, can someone tell me what the file hash on this file should be? I've tried 3 A1200 kickstart images including one from Amiga Forever 2009 and none have worked.

in the TOSEC set it's B7CC148386AA631136F510CD29E42FC3

Guess I'll have to keep looking
