translation needed for thalion video
Hi
I have a old video shot in the thalion offices in the early 1990s (I think) (which alex h sent to me). It is of course in German. Is there anyone here who could help with a translation to English so we can hardsub it or provide a sub file to go with it. I am wanting to put it on exotica, but it would be more useful with subs ;-) Many Thanks. |

Hi BuZz,
I would like to have a look, but I haven't put subtitles on anything yet. So I could make the translation and either you put the subtitles in (I give you the times of course) or I learn how to do it (less preferred ). |

That is all a subfile is. Times next to text. The format is pretty easy when you've seen it.

The video was originally filmed by Andreas "Ilja" Franz of Level 16 (or at least it was him who brought it to the Thalion Reunion)

It's just a bit of filming in the old Thalion office in Gütersloh. Fairly close to the end as they have an Atari Falcon 030 in the office indicating it is late 1992 early 93?

Subtitle Workshop is great freeware utility for managing/writing subtitles in many different formats - http://www.urusoft.net/products.php?cat=sw
Maybe it'll be useful for you TCD. |

Thanks for the link.
I see some problems in translating it: - it's quite long with 14 minutes - i sometimes am having a hard type to understand them even though i am German myself. - there is not one single bit of useful information in it So it's hard for me to motivate myself. I will not promise anything for now. First i have to get my mind set up. |

cut1:
camera-guy: "<mumble mumble> stop it. collapses ... the whole picture collapses" laser-guy: "really?" camera-guy: "yu.."(probably: yes) laser-guy: "Why that?" camera-guy: "It collapses immediately. ... Awwh that looks HORRIBLE! Stop it." laser-guy: "<mumble mumble>" (no idea what he says) voice from the back: "eerrm, Andreas?" camera-guy(Andreas): "Yep?" voice from the back: "Can you ...?" (Maybe something with "reinigen" (clean) or "rein tun" (put in)) <moves to next room> guy with screwdriver: "Oh no." (loosely translated) Andreas: "Oh yes." keyboard: "click clack click clack clack tock tock tock clack clack" |
