And not 32kb either
It's packed with some type of modified UPX. It has the same headers though, with the same sections in the PE Due to it being a modified UPX, it can't be unpacked with UPX....I manually unpacked it. It ended up being about 130kb, and that's without rebuilding the import table (so it's not exactly runnable, just unpacked) So yeah. Nice game. Coded pretty well, but not actually 32kb |

Well actually the idea of the 32kb thing is to make something which in distro form is 32 kb, not something which unpacked is 32 kb. To the average user who just run the .exe it is 32 kb.

I think you had the staff/spear in both games (fire+forward).

Yeah you had in both games. You could use it to poke into small holes in the wall to trigger something. In about the middle of the first level you drop down on a platform on the right side with 2 natives walking on it. Shoving your spear to the left (at the natives) triggered a spear flying from left to right killing the natives (and you if you didn't duck)

After two minutes of play, I think there are some spears missing too. I like it though.
Is there a way to shut off the music and have the original sounds restored? |

Why not convert a good game?
There was that Mario conversion Maybe the coders did it for fun, to test skills, or a competition? |

Instead of converting old classics why dont someone release a game thats like the old classics?
Playability over fangdangled graphics! Something that grabs your attention and keeps hold of it untill the end. With the advent of the world wide web I have the opportunity to download and play any game I feel like, but I still fin myself going back to play Avenger (gremlin) on my C64 or Pitfall on the old 2600. What ever happened to the days of waiting with baited breath for the next arcade conversion? Computer games these days are just another piece of munition for the multinational corporations (genocide of the starving nations). Another rope to keep the young hooligans of today in line. No wonder the faithfull here keep the real thing close to their hearts! |

Well what about those Turrican based games
Turrican 3D got toasted and so I look forward to such remakes Playing the originals is good but once you've played them a million times over, a remake or a game based on that game but with new levels and stuff Its all good |
