There are smaller 1602 LCDs as well, but they cost a lot more.

Amazing. I must do this. I don't plan on mounting my HxC gotek permanently inside any Amiga, so this is perfect for me.

Either the homepage is not up to date, or I'm completely stupid. I'm looking here: http://hxc2001.com/download/floppy_d....html#stm32hxc

There is a Beta Firmware. Firmware is 3.0.8.2a. Am I correct in understanding that this firmware, despite being called Alpha, is newer (a version or README would be nice)?
I wish someone would clear up this issue, I can't tell which firmware version is the latest for the Gotek HxC..

Very nice - just what I have been looking for. Any chance of direct support for I2C OLED screens in the HxC firmware to get rid of needing the ATTINY85 board?

Jeff_HxC2001 has been really quiet on these forums as of late. Got a few questions for him too. Hope he gets back soon.

The alpha version on this forum is the last one... but before updating the main page, i hoped to have more feedbacks. It appears that the interest is somewhat low, so have i postponed the official release.
This is an alpha version, and since the last version there is many changes into the code and i need to be sure that there is no regression (usb stick compatibility, timing issue with somes machines, fat issue,...)

Thank you kindly for the clarification, I will be updating to the Alpha version and trying it out.

Firmware update :
http://hxc2001.com/download/floppy_d...AlphaTrial.zip

Some important code optimizations : Some mains routines rewritten and turned into assembly language.

You have to put the upd file and the autoboot.hfe on the root of your usb then boot your Amiga with it in the Gotek. It will copy over the Autoboot you have there already.if i remember corectly.

It's an USB floppy emulator not a GOTEK!

And what is a USB floppy emulator then? This thread is about the Gotek HxC firmware, which is also a USB floppy emulator in my book.

Try it, it might work.thats why we have it on the Gotek cos of the USB emulator they are the same.just different chip, where you download the update file you use the same software just different firmware and bootloader.bootloader is what you pay 10 euros for to get the firmware to work with the software.

Sorry this is for the SD version of the device and Gotek, look on HxC2001 site to download the update for the USB version.
