Just reading through replies. The passion for acctual Amigas is superb.

A few Qs.

1 - How do you fit 32 meg into an A1200? Do games recognise it? Can anyone link a product?

2 - @ Cane - Where can I get such an adapter for £2? Ill get one as current HD broken.

Sorry never update thread so many more peeps to reply too.

@ Thornam. Harddrive have too many moving parts and as such break all the time. ALso I have zero luck with harddrives meaning I am even more prone to probs. I much prefer the cf card reader approach. Cant wait until HDs are a thing of the past. They are already starting to be replaced on high end PCs and as always will trickle down to skint people like myself in the next 5 years or so. Excited to think I can get my amiga a 4 gig cf. sounds superb

@ Mingle - What is this Blizzard 030/50MHz 882 you all keep mentioning?

@ Demon - Im from gateshead m8. Your info has you down as being from Hell. So, yeah we could live very close haha

It's a very good 68030 50 Mhz accelerator card that you can plug into the A1200 trapdoor expansion slot. It allowes you to use up to 128 megabytes (192 with scsi expansion) of fast ram, and it makes the A1200 about eight times as fast. Great for WHDLoad games, programming and other serious applications.

PS: Harddrives are the only way to go for me. Nothing beats having 40gigs of storage space

Yeah the size of these drives are quite small at the mo. Im talking solid state drives in a PC but you can get 40 gig ones. Just pricey. Your dead right though, Hard drives rule for price to size ratio however.

All these cards etc. Its all an eye opener for me.

Hmm, cane's link looks really interesting. Maybe he can explain you how to use that one This would indeed mean you could get the whole thing (adapter and card) for about £10.

or check EAB's marketplace http://eab.abime.net/forumdisplay.ph...aysprune=&f=25

Hey! That's not a bad alternative, so long as it works. £0.99 & £0.68 PP with a discount available, sounds good to me for the price

Take a gamble and if it works, excellent, if it does not then you've only lost £1.67 and that's not that much

Go for it I say, couldn't be a better bargain, and his feedback is very high too.

Edit: Cool linkie there cane

Edit 2: It's from a shop too, couldn't be better. Go get it mate, you've got nothing to lose, not really
