Since I was late in the game, I thought I had missed my chance to purchase it.

Happy ending - Just purchased the revised version with additional pages and more covering of the A1200 and CD32.

I read a few articles and I'm liking it so far.

Seeing this on the newsstand really took me back when I used to buy my monthly fix of Amiga Power 20 years ago. Happy times!

Is there an easy way for someone who knows little about the Amiga to tell if it's the revised edition? Does it actually say 'revised' on it or should I instruct my UK faery to look for a particular article inside?

I was a bit miffed at the fact the revised edition came out a month or two after the original release so not likely to purchase any time soon.

If however it is anything like the revised c64 edition ( I missed it the first time round) then it wont say revised on the front cover, but it will say revised 2015 at the bottom of the copyright/publisher section a page or two in.

Easy to spot - intro from editor clearly states it is the revised edition (on first page) and there are articles about A1200 and CD32 - the original is A500 only. I'm also pretty sure that it mentions Putty Squad on the cover

The spine of the magazine mentions that it is the revised version.

This revised edition also includes more recent articles, covering the making of Speedball 2, the resurrection of Putty Squad, features on the A1200 and CD32 and more. In short, if you ever loved Commodore’s computer you need to own this book.

Hmm I paid £15 for the first edition a few month back from ebay... dunno if it's worth another £10 for just a few articles. I'll have to see it first to decide I think.

I can't check now bit didn't the first edition already have the putty squad feature? Are there more pages now or is the editorial just been rejigged ?

If they added more content, they had to add more pages, maybe 4 pages?

For someone that has the first edition, I don't think that buying the revised version is really worth it though.

I picked the new version up yesterday. As expected the pagination is the same as there are no extra pages and they have rearranged and I guess just swapped out some of the old editorial with new articles? I'll have a proper read and compare tonight but the new peices are good (putty squad, cd32 etc) but as you said probably not worth buying again but 'll just sell the original edition to pay for the revised one anyway. :-).

So they took out advert pages? You can't add full articles (at least the A1200 and CD32 ones) without adding pages or removing content. It's very strange.

Have to confirm the number of pages when I get home.

Not a lot of difference between the 2 (IMO).
Same number of pages - 180 -in each.
As for how to easily spot the differences between the original and revised, see attached pics.

Made me smile to see this book on sale in Kuala Lumpur last weekend. Good to see the Amiga making its way to Malaysia! It was only slightly more expensive than the UK price too, about £12 I think.

There's a third edition now? Anything new included or just a reprint? Did a quick search, couldn't find anything.

It tells you what's new on the imagineshop page you listed :-

"This new Edition includes new guides to some of the Amiga's biggest games, including Lemmings, Walker, Hired Guns and more."

Unfortunately, these "magazines" are a rip off. The '3rd Edition' has the same amount of pages as the '2nd Edition (Revised Edition)', 180 pages, so they have removed something else to put the "new" content in. It looks like they are never going to give us more pages, they will probably put the price up to £20 for a magazine.

Same with the Spectrum/Commodore book :-

30th Anniversary (224 pages).
Revised Edition (196 Pages) 28 Pages less!!!!.
3rd Edition (196 Pages).

Exactly, its not worth picking up more than one version, i have earlier bookazines as well and the paper quality is alot worse than it used to, id rather them do a 250 page with better paper quality and charge £14.99 for it, then lose pages and quality.
