When I said it works, I didn't actually mean it electronically worked, i meant physically... and that buying the long pinned chips and cutting them to emulate what i've shown would work......

but then i noticed that the pins were pretty darn close to touching... a little tweak to the pins annnnnnnnd

PIO mode 5 baby! W00T

Remember kipper2k did the A603 Indivision Mod to keep the floppy drive in A600 maybe he could adapt the design to give it more of an angel and with it being more secure

yup i think that's what he had in mind. the problem is though you can't simply shift the ata laterally as a heap of things get in the way.

i'll be placing an order for some more electronic components and will be coming up with a much more refined version that should be simple enough to copy.

This is what I've done with the risers. The first one is sanded, as the line of pins inserted in the second:

Mine isn't shipped from AmigaKit yet, but thats to be expected, i was "late" on the ball ordering. Sad part... It means i'm going to miss out on the good weather we've been promised late next week. Yeah. You don't think I'm going outside after this thing arrives, get real.

During the rain promised for this weekend, i'll tear my miggy open, and remove the sheilding, so it's ready to assemble. My miggy has so far been spared the complete removal of the shielding, but i'm not so sure anymore. It's going to be a rather large hole if i'm to cut a slot for the indivision...
B!

my only worry with that is you'll be making the angle steeper and you wont be able to plug an ide lead into the top because it'll hit the keyboard and bend the ata.

nice work though! would definitely be more reliable than mine as it currently stands

I didn't know it doesn't fit with a BVision (although I'm not using it):

So, just to reiterate here, the Indivision AGA MK2 will fit in an A1200 already equipped with a FastATA 1200 MKIV on a single pair of ROM risers; yes or no?

Thanks!

I don't think so, as the line of pins attached is sanded too. On the contrary it will have less angle. Edit: No, sorry, the same angle.

yes, but you will need to remove the ATA to fit the Indivision and will need long legged rom risers and a little bit of hackery (trimming the legs to different lengths) to get the FastATA to sit at an angle so it clears the Indivision and it's connector.

Seems there must have been many many pre-orders of the Indivision A1200 MK2 from AmigaKit, when it takes all these days to arrange & despatch them..
I was also quite late on pre-ordering so my order status still pending and of course I wish I have it now

A different question: For tower users like me who also have a mediator installed and the risers would get in its way, a good solution would be if some kind of cable rom extenders could be constructed (10-15cm long) to relocate the entire fastata completely out of the way. Do you think that'd be possible?

Edit: yes, all fastata models have the sime size/method of installation/placement
I will second this. I plan to towerise my A1200 and add a Mediator so this would be the sort of solution I would want as well.

Just waiting for the towers and Mediators to become available again!

Yes, my order is awaiting dispatch. Thx AmigaKit.

Maybe someone can tell me in advance if I'll have any problems with only a DVI-HDMI adpater on my Samsung Led Monitor? It would be nice to know If I have to order a DVI-VGA adapter (and maybe use an old VGA-monitor first) or wait for the config-tool. Í don't mind testing dfferent options or wait for the config-tool as I know we've been 'warned'

Specs of my monitor can be found here:
http://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mo...ownloadName=UM

Page 20 should be interesting I guess. The refresh rate don't exactly match the refresh rates mentioned in the manual Jens posted on his site, maybe the available refresh rates of my monitor are in range?

To be sure of all this I just should test off cource once I receive my order, but I'm just curious now

try changing your font? perhaps it's not liking it with that screenmode?

EDIT - yeah it's definitely the font... everything else (icons etc) appear fine. the font spacing between the letters is too small.

after resetting the amiga a couple of times it cleared up so the writing it clear just the back ground looks like a series of vertical lines,, but now trying to change monitor settings and getting "invalid format" I'll just have to strip everything down and try again.

Cheers
