Does anyone knows, when the manual protection appears in the game, seems to be not at the beginning?
I am trying to find out, if this version is cracked:
Eye of the Beholder (1991)(SSI)(DE)(Disk 1 of 3)
487F0985
The main-EXE is different to the original, it seems to be modified, but i cant find any trace for a crack.

The first level is so easy even a novice should be able to complete it in under 15 minutes.

Anyway it was more than likely, that this ADF is also cracked, but now its 100%.

You're welcome.

Note that there were uncracked Skid Row versions of that very game back in the day so it is more than likely that there are bad "cracks" of EOB in TOSEC.

Ok, i did not mean, thats a 100% crack(full working crack), i meant only, that it is a crack.

You probably mean, that "SR" have released uncracked versions, because they was not aware about the protection check after level1, or is there any additional protection(second protection check)?

I know. I just thought that this extra info might be interesting for you as I assume you're checking the EOB images for TOSEC.

They first released the english version without cracking it, later a fix was released. The german version wasn't cracked either even though they changed the "Enter word xx from the manual" to "Cracked by Skid Row" (or smth similar). I don't remember if they released a fix for the german version.

This is odd, they did not crack it, but said in EXE, CrackIntro and CrackTXT, that its cracked.

Probably SR called their release "cracked" because they included a savegame on disk 2, where you can start right after the protection check, who knows!

so

I'm almost 100% sure that there wasn't any save game included in the original release. Anyway, they weren't called Kid's Blow for nothing.
