Trouble unzipping System.zip on A1200

I followed the ClassicWB instructions carefully. Transfered System.zip from PC to DH1 using AExplorer; rebooted w/ Workbench Install disk and formatted DH0; copied System.zip over to DH0; rebooted w/ "Real Amiga Install" disk and unzipped.

Getting LOTS of "bad zipfile offset" errors and A1200 won't boot to the ClassicWB screen. If I boot using the Workbench Install disk programs won't run due to missing tool types (e.g., Dopus says I'm missing the proper mathieee.library something or other, for example).

This is happening repeatedly w/ LITE and FULL versions. Assistance, please?

Test the zip file on your PC before transfer for errors...

Is this a real HD or a CF card, either way could be a max transfer issue, what value did you set the MaxTransfer to when you setup the drive?

Also you don't need to go the slow route making a system.zip and transfer then unzip, etc. Hook up your HDD/CF to the PC and do all the work in UAE if you can its much quicker.

Steve.

Using the latest WinUAE

Zipfile unzipped fine in WinXP

This is a 4GB CF card partitioned using the steps outlined in that Youtube video: define new, read drive, partition size <2GB, etc.; didn't dink w/ Maxtransfer

I thought maybe the zipfile was getting corrupt by setting the serial transfer rate too high (38,400) but I was able to copy over the unzipped contents w/o problems.

Is it possible to change Maxtransfer w/o loosing the data on the partitions or would I need to start over from scratch? If that's so I will configure the darn CF on the PC before putting it to work.

Did you solved that issue?

I used CDROM to transfer system.zip on amiga and everything went OK.

Serial data transfer could be reason for corrupted file I think.

BTW, check integrity of System.zip on PC with winrar or Dopus (WinUAE) before sending file.

EDIT: I am also using CF card 4GB as HDD
