Hi prowler,
perhaps the following link could be useful for you? http://forums.hexus.net/help-technic...sb-drives.html That procedure is not exactly meant for what you need, but one of those utilities (Udisk Tools) is able to "re-flash" a flash drive, marking out bad (or non-existent, in case of chinese hacked memory cards/pen drives) sectors... |

Thanks for the link, Supamax!
I'll go and take a look... Edit: Wow! There's a lot of useful info there, and links to various tools which seem like they're written for problematic devices just like mine. Last edited by prowler; 01 April 2010 at 01:25. |

For real low level format special software from manufacturer of the IC which is used as FLASH controller need to be used - all other methods are not low level.
Best method is to use software like "Chip Genius" which allow to identify IC then search for software from IC vendor. Last edited by pandy71; 22 October 2010 at 23:45. |
