Star Trek 25th Anniversary

Hi, i've recently been playing the WHDLoad version of this game, but have ran into problems on one of the missions. A screenshot is provided here http://i165.photobucket.com/albums/u...a/StarTrek.jpg

I've already obtained the wire from the box as you can see, but i can't get the ID card out of the rocks. I've tried following the walkthrough that comes with the game, but it doesn't help.

This is taken from the walkthrough provided with the game.....
"USE Spock on controls to laser drill (not on the display screens). Select 100. USE tricorder on the controls. USE Spock on the controls. Select 100. USE the rocks on the impression that the drill made."

Okay, following the directions there, NOTHING new happens when you try to select the 100 setting for the laser a 2nd time. Using the other settings of 1 and 10 does cause the laser to shoot a spot on the right side of the screen, but still doesn't not permit you to "USE" the rocks on any impression over there, i've tried SEVERAL times already, and its kind irritating

If anyone knows how to actually get past this point in the game, let me know please

that covers all missions except the one i'm currently on.......however it doesn't matter as i did eventually figure out the problem, i apparently forgot to scan one thing with the tricorder.

Didn't matter much anyways though, on the mission after it, you have to fight a replica of the Enterprise AND two Elasi Pirate ships all at the same time

The final mission should be called "Kobayashi Maru" not Vengeance lol.
