Wink World Of Classics

Fancy playing some great PD games? Head over to www.worldofclassics.co.uk/ and take a look. I originally owned an A500 but never got round to playing the tons of PD software that was written for the machine. I'm talkin about...

super obliteration (cracking Pang clone)
renegades (2-plyr alien breed deathmatch)
klawz the cat (crazy platform antics)
smidge (colorful platformer - grab those shades)
In the Dead of Night (atmospheric graphic adventure)
towerbyte (collection of classic arcade clones)
seemore underwater capers (hzt shoot'em up)
boing v3 (bounce your way to the top!)

Don't worry if you don't own a real Amiga. Get yourself WinUAE and relive those glory years. Also managed to finally find....Pucman Worlds...a cool Pacman clone.

O.k, I know a few of the above were written using AMOS, but seemore was written using "Reality", another game creator for the Amiga.

Too bad Back2Roots has gone down. Show your support and visit WOC today.

It is a good site, and sometimes its nice to have a screenshot of a file before downloading blind like Planetemu unless of course you know specifically what you are looking for.

It's a shame World of Classics hasn't been updated for quite a while and some of the commercial games are just demos which is kind of like going back to "try before you buy"!

But, yes, for PD stuff it really is a good souce especially as we can't access Back 2 Roots ftp directories now...

No dude, I am in no way connected to WOC. Just wanted to bring it to the attention of those new to EAB. Surf over to WOC and get these cool games: "Alien Bash 2 - a corking Alien Breed clone" and "Bubble Pop Memory - a very addictive memory game from Sweden". Njoy!

First Back2Roots went down, now Aminet refuses to work!

Pmsl !

HoL is a fantastic Amiga database site.... wouldn't it be great if you could download all adf/hdf, etc. too?? Bit of a mammoth job though.

HoL all-in-one site? Would whitewash all others!

Have to admit, thats the first time I've known WoC to go down....

Yet another casualty - Every Amiga Game Ever released - http://eager.back2roots.org/index.html

Visited this site often to read about games I never played first time round.
It's sad, another dedicated Amiga site is no more...

Is World of Classics still online?

I went to this link below. When I click on games I get and error message.
Has anybody tried this. I just wanted to know if it was just me. Can't
seem to download from them anymore.

I don’t know how long it will take but CPC464 posted on 22nd August at Emulation Talk saying:

It does look like he is very busy in real life as not much else has happened since, but at least this is some good news. I hope he gets some time to upload the rest of his update soon.
