S-Video output from Amiga with CXA1145M

Hi all,

I have a A600 here that i am trying to fix ( RGB output is fine, composite gives "no signal") so i was browsing to try to find some help about this problem. btw, all suggestions welcome. I did change all the capacitors and nothing change. the RGB output gives a really nice stable picture.

I read the datasheet for the Sony CXA1145M video encoder chip and it looks like all video generation of the Amiga is done within the chip itself with an external sync from Agnus. So i am thinking it is probably the chip that is bad.

Anyway back to the subject... while i was trolling i came across this mod that people have done to their Genesis to allow S-Video using an addon circuit that connects to the chroma and luma of the CXA1145M.

Here surely is a nice little project to try on the Amiga that looks cheap to make (you can buy these chips btw for about $12)...

here is the links

HERE IS A NICE TUT ON HOW TO ACTUALLY BUILD THE CIRCUIT...
