Great news. I think I will have to Paypal some extra money to Amigakit. I'll wait for a message from them for my preorder.

I have added the AIBB module and you can read the Sysinfo values in my post. You'll have to do the comparing yourself, though.

we've finished the thermal tests of the ACA630: No need for active cooling and no need to remove the drive! (well, if you can live without Indivision ECS).

The good news is that the temperature stayed low enough to offer a slightly faster version of the ACA630:

ACA630 is also available with 30MHz and 64M ram.

We're keeping the temperature low by under-clocking a 33MHz CPU (with full MMU) to 30MHz. The memory controller was kept at the same pace with a 2-1-1-1 burst, so the speedup over the 25MHz version is really linear. Sysinfo shows 7.24 MIPS / 6936 Dhrystones. The price is slightly higher at 199,- EUR (compared to 159,- EUR for the 25MHz / 32MByte version).

Both versions (25 and 30MHz) will ship early next week. If you want to change your pre-order with your reseller, there's enough time to do so. Those who have already ordered may be contacted by their resellers, giving the option to upgrade.

To make your decision a little easier, I have added the AIBB module of the 30MHz version.

Jens
It's incredible so much releases so fast. It seems you weren't bored watching the snow falling...

Will wait a quarter of hour to see if you have finished the Indivision too

I will probably stay with my preordered 25MHz, but this new release is just awesome.

Cool, if and when I buy it will be the faster version, the extra 5mhz is cool but the extra Ram is what sells it or me

I can't imagine any purpose for having 64mb in A600, but THAT FEELING is more than tempting

In a few mails above Jens said it was 199 euro. You have 234 euro in the shop. Why is this?

For 199 euro I will upgrade my order.

Yes but both here and on the German forum Jens speaks about 199 euro including VAT. So what is it?

From Amigakit?

Kind of decides whether I spend 20 EUR on FedEx or 40 EUR on upgrade. That's my only reason for asking.
