Until all emus support 29KHz external monitors, the best way to enjoy emu graphics is to use a fullscreen 640x480x50Hz or so resolution, synced, double the graphics, and then, to avoid blocky chunky pixels, use scanlines. Preferably, increase gamma/intensity to melt the lines a little bit together.

If you prefer to play in a window, set a high resolution, 100 Hz. Then you can have blocky pixels without them getting so unforgivingly blocky and huge. Or use 25% scanlines.

I've seen far older treads resurrected...

And, just because: Always scanlines! The more scanlines the better! So many scanlines you can barely see the video!

Kidding aside, I do like scanlines.

I voted no to scanlines. I've only just returned here from a long gap, and don't want to get in trouble!

For the last couple of weeks, I have been running my Indivision with the Scanline mode on. I liked the effect...

Last night though I finally got the config tool working again and decided to try No Scanlines.

Now DDNI is confused, Scanlines are nice and retro but No Scanlines are nice and crisp... gah curse you Amiga for complicating my life!!

I voted no as I tend to always play games without them. However it does depend on the game being played. Not so much for Amiga games, but with MAME some games do look much better with scanlines on. I think that is down to the strange dimensions of some old arcade displays.

The only useful filter in emulators. I have no clue why the majority prefer the pixel-deforming Mame filters.

scanlines are part of the real hardware, so we keep it And it's possible to desactivate
it if we want to take a snapshot during a play .

Scanlines ftw !!!

Scale2X is the least destructive filter of the bunch (except the null filter) INMHO.

And scanlines ? thanks, but no thanks .
This said, I don't mind looking at a screenshot bearing some.

Scanlines rule. I am right and the naysayers are WRONG.
