Sony BVM-14M4DE monitor
Very nice CRT monitor, probably cost 000s when it was new. Massive but not quite as bulky as some of the other 14" broadcast monitors. Need to make a cable to connect amiga RGB but PS2 on component looks great and even on composite amiga looks pretty good. You can clearly see I've not got very far in Heimdall 2 yet |

Sweet, is it a rack mounted thing?

I reckon so, though it is too narrow for standard racks, I expect there is a racking kit or special racks for them.
Can't wait to get the amiga RGB connected, just looking for a BNC crimp tool and it's mucho£££s. Have to pinch one from my brother which will take some time. Xbox 360 looks nice but the screen is too small for it. I really wanted a 20" PVM L5 type as they also do 31KHz but who knows where I'd find one at a sensible price. This cost me £80 delivered which is a bit much considering you can't give away most CRTs these days. |

Bought a new 360 controller for my PC, this time I bought a wireless one... in the past, I've bought ones with cables, so I wouldn't need to buy batteries... but after the wire was pretty much cut on two 360 controllers in half a year by my armchair here (that foot thing you can put down, the cables would get caught up in there and ruined), I decided I needed a wireless one anyway
Also bought Duck Tales Remastered for a guy I know on Steam, cool game that. Last edited by laffer; 19 September 2013 at 03:48. |

I got an A1200 setup on ebay for a good price. The seller wan't keen on posting it but agreed in the end. It is currently with MyHermes and I am anxious as to what effort he put into packing it... Updates to follow.

Australian $859 each, to much i know! This is the card here- http://www.guru3d.com/articles_pages..._review,1.html Also each card has 2304 Shader Processing Units, but i'm running 2 of them in SLI so have 4604 Shaders, it's crazy lol! johnim- Agree, need a 4k monitor now, i'm not keen on multi screen gaming though. The nice thing about gaming at 1080p at the moment, is you simply can max any game out plus put crazy amounts of AA on even the latest most intensive games! But when you have so much grunt, downsampling crazy resolutions down to 1080p is the way to go, it can look amazing, zero aliasing! For example the latest tomb raider max'd with tressfx on and 4xSSAA 1080p, constant 60fps with vsync I also force 4-8x sgssaa through nvinspector for a lot of games as well, downsampling needs a lot of gpu grunt but some games almost look like cgi there that clean with sgssaa! DDNI- Yer it does get hot here, but the nice thing about these 780's is that you can adjust the fan speeds at different temperatures in 8 custom steps in msi afterburner. So if you want the cards to use 80% fan speed when it hits 70c, or 90% fans at 80c, it's easy to do that. Also you can set a max temperature threshold as well, so if you don't want the cards to go any higher then say 85c, then when it hit's that max temp the cards will automatically down throttle a bit to keep them cooler and within the threshold. This also works in reverse with the boost clock feature, my cards core is at 954mhz, but when gaming and temps are ok, i have seen them clock up to 1100mhz a times! And since most games barely stress the cards, they don't run that hot anyway. Last edited by hansel75; 21 September 2013 at 11:50. |

finally got hold of a brand new old stock Yo! Joe! (French version)... The sides are slightly creased as the inner box is protected only by a sheet of folded cardboard (got the English version so that's how I know (if a little battered))

Gotten so hooked on Rayman Origins now, so today I bought Rayman 1-3 on GoG.com.
I already finished the first Rayman once, the GBA version... but that was more than 10 years ago so I've forgotten most of it. Never played the other two. EDIT - tested out Rayman 2 as I was curious how it would run, being such an old game... it works perfectly well, and the graphics look nice enough... I think it uses Direct3D maybe. It also made use of my 360 controller automatically, and I can use the left analog stick for moving. With a little help from Xpadder, I can use the right one to look around... so the controls are pretty nice. Last edited by laffer; 22 September 2013 at 10:28. |
