DeliPlayer Page down
Hi there,
seems the DeliPlayer Homepage is down forever (this account has been suspended). Sad thing, hope The Special Brothers (or someone else!) is going to continue the Project, as it was one of the Best Players for all module formats on Windows platform. |

Maybe good, something better will come along hopefully. PC version was confusing IMHO.

Strange! They paid their DNS name fees last year, one day before it was due to expire, but it looks like they have not paid their hosting fees.
Nope, you're just thick How confusing can a media player be?? You select the files you want to play into a play list... you hit play! Deliplayer, even with it's bugs, remains the best Amiga module player for Windows AND the highest quality MPEG decoder. The audio output quality of deliplayer (which is what it's all about isnt it?) is second to non! |

You could try the Windows build of UADE : http://zakalwe.fi/uade/download.html (Cygwin on Windows)
Also Multiplayer is a new music player done by bLAZER which supports quite a few Amiga formats and is still advancing : http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=35976 (newest version in the last posts) |

Not bad but I need program that supports exotic formats so I'll be able to play every format existed in amiga games. In deliplayer this fuction is designed by using plugins. It's probably quite easy to wrote functionality into this player as well.

UADE = Unix Amiga Delitracker Emulator
i.e. it plays all exotic formats using Delitracker / Eagleplayer plugins We need a push to get a Windows compatible GUI for it... |

That's why I posted UADE too. It supports very much of the exotic formats (maybe even more than Deliplayer).

Open your window when you solder stuff. Dont inhale the fumes you know. Calling Deliplayer best sound quality on Windows? Hate to break it but the quality of mod playing on Windows Deliplayer was not exactly good. Sounded much better on a real Amiga. Ok so it handled modules better than Winamp but it was still not that good IMHO. There is NO way you can make me believe Deliplayer on the PC had the best MP3 sound quality, claiming Deliplayer had the best audio quality (even with or without sources to back that claim up) is totally nuts! The UI was confusing, ok so you could skin it. But it was CLEAR that the programmers came from the Amiga and followed cowboy UI programming when designing the user interface. I can fully understand that you find the user interface great, then again there are some people who claim that TWM is all you need for a Window manager |

What other media players are there?? The difference between WMP11 and Deliplayer is so obvious that even partially deaf people would be able to tell the difference. I could make WAV's but it would probably be a waste of time. How confusing can a mediaplayer UI get? You have stop, play, fast forward... etc. You can drag and drop files onto the main player window... or open a playlist... FFS what is confusing about that? Is it just me or is DeliPlayer the only player to support the Digital Illusions music format under Windows? I don't think even UADE supports it, or at least no addon exists for it.

uade plays di format as does xmp (although I dont know if you can get this on windows). It is reasonably easy to convert the files to protracker also with prowizard http://asle.free.fr/prowiz/

And since Multiplayer uses Prowizard, it can also play Digital Illusions music.

Actually I'd like to see some wav recordings and more importantly some ABX (double-blind test) results to back up that claim.
