Really i had to select two options; Other because i started out with a VIC 20 before getting an Atari 800XL when a load of stock was dumped via Dixons, then C64.
Surprised there's no Amiga option in the poll though...? |

Second hand Spectrum for my birthday. Had some fun with it, did well out of second-hand games and clearances later, but to be honest the poor graphics put me off a bit - at that age I was looking at the C64 and Amstrad screenshots on the box and feeling left-out. A bit older and through emulation I've discovered more of the classics. Got an Amiga late the next year - it was going to be for Christmas but I got it earlier as a Get Well present, although I wasn't really in shape to make full use of it.

I had some dodgy atari I think. Black screen multiple sport games tennis was like pong. Paddles left to right. Two player. I can't remember the console. It was wood engraved.
After that it was amiga. skipped c64. Though did use one in its peak. |

My step dad had a 48k Spectrum then later a 128k Toast Rack, eventually I got my own 128k +2a James Bond Action Pack
Maybe I was about 9 years old? I used this until I got a Sega Master System, sadly we could afford an Amiga but I was able to play on one at my friends house, also another friend had a CPC464 with Colour screen, now that was awesome too! |

Started with a ZX81, then went through several Spectrum 48K/128K +2's, Atari 600XL and 800XL (which I still have), Amiga 500/500+, 1200 and 2000, (also still have) and then PC's.

ZX-81 with 16KB expansion RAM, ZX-Spectrum 48KB and C64. They were my partners during my first childhood. Then came theirs older brothers: Amiga 500 and Atari 1024 STFM.

I had a BBC Micro. Those were the days of waiting ages for the cassette games to load, at least until we invested in an 80 track 5 1/4 inch disk drive. lol It was a great computer to be fair with loads of software support so plenty of games to play.

I started with an Oric Atmos, then I had a C64 although my dream machine was the MSX2, but it was too expensive for me back then. Anyway I could find a MSX1 a couple of years later at a very good price !
Anyway I keep some fond memories from that period : my best friend had a CPC464 so we were always fighting to find out which machine had the better hardware and games ! |

Amstrad CPC 464 with green screen. After 3 months of owning it my father managed to buy me a colour monitor for £3 at an auction.
