@Zilog
i tried both picasso and cgx but they don't work for me. perhaps it would be useful to add the complete list of tooltypes to be selected with CVision3D to the topic And just a suggestion. |

In the note in the main thread there is a setting that i change, everything else is default, is strange with Picasso96 driver. You i try with JIT off , Picasso96 driver 2.0 from aminet and Rom->Advance UAE Expansion boars set "Rom Disable" in winaue set "ROM disable". Don't use the same installation for picasso96 and CBX, create two separate from scratch. **NOTE 4)_For Picasso96 Driver __A) Download htt*p://aminet.net/driver/video/Picasso96.lha - v2.0 __B) For active 15Bit resolution open Prefs:PVS->Environment->Show Mode set "ALL", save and restart Amiga. __C) Reset WinUAE __D) Set resolution 15Bit (S3 Virge in 3D Accelerator support only 15 resolution) 4) _For CyberGraphX v4 from cd, when ask this option must be: __A) NOPASSTHROUGH=NO (disable card monitor swtich) __B) ToolType "PASSTHROUGH=YES" In this mode active native / rtg switch from driver. (Piccasso96 is set for default) __C) Set Dragging=NO (something todo with being compatible with v39 multibuffering) __D) Before reboot install update CyberGraphX v4.3rc6 __E) Close Winuae and Reopen |

@Seiya
@All thanks for the videos they are interesting I was referring to the warp3D test: gears68k small gears68k window gears_68k because to me these rarely start or winuae crashes depending on the type of configuration it seems random. thanks Last edited by White; 02 November 2020 at 11:32. |

Warp3D test don't work in 15 bit. Only in 24/32 bit, but only in windows and with pink texture. Full screen Gear crash with a "HALT3".

@Seiya
Thanks, same thing for me it only works at 24 / 32bit with pink colors. I thought I was doing something wrong :-) I wasted a lot of time rehearsing Thanks for the info While it sometimes works, this time I'll save the dump if it can be useful later. |

for example microbe3D of "thellier" also works
but only with the warp3Dpatch program and other times it also works without this patch. not sure if it is a pure warp3D program. But it seems so by reading the readme https://aminet.net/driver/video/PatchWarp3D.lha https://aminet.net/util/libs/Microbe3D.lha |

24/32-bit "working" probably means software 3D, not hardware 3D and most likely it is correct behavior too. Check the log for 3D usage log messages. Quote:

@Toni
so the right color depth to work on what is 15Bit? or 24/32bit? I did not understand the explanation, thanks |

Microbe3D is a pure Warp3D program it dont use minigl nor stormmesa
(but need all picture formats datatypes for loading textures) I am not sure if it can run on both cybergraphix and picasso96 If you use an old Warp3D that dont have w3d_drawarray() fonction then patchwarp3d may emulate it. But if you use warp3d 4.2 it should (?) be useless |

I don't know which is right. Anything related to Amiga 3D software -> don't ask me. I only said 15-bit works for me (and does use 3D HW)
Also I can't find any mention of 24/32-bit 3D restrictions in Virge datasheet. It even says ARGB1555, ARGB4444 and ARGB8888 textures are supported. |
