Diagnose disks for checking board

I have an A500 board Rev 5 that does work but not 100,00 %. Some few games crash although they work on other computers or WINUAE so the board has a minor fault. I heard that Commodore Braunschweig had some self running diagnose progs to ckeck which chip is faulty what is also graphically shown. Any idea where to find these ? The usual programs like sysinfo or memtest could not help so far.

I know of one test-kit used by service centers, but it requires external hardware connected to all ports to work. It is quite limited what you can test with software alone.

If you can find a way to burn a kickstart ROM, the DiagROM is quite useful:

Yeah, one of those hardware testers sold on eBay a couple years ago. The seller was an ex Amiga repair shop owner and was selling his old stuff off, I can't remember the amount but it sold for a hefty sum, a few thousand! Not surprising as it's rare hardware these days, most of them was binned in the 90's as the shops closed or changed direction.

Unfortunately I have no possibility to burn the Rom. I know there was a completely disk-based solution so hoping to find this.

If you contact the author he will probably supply you with a burned ROM for cost + shipping.
He has done it for others AFAIK.

I have seen that Rainer Benda (ex commodore) mentioned these disks so they existed, but I can not find a place to get them, perhaps someone has more luck ?

You mean test disks that did not require any hardware?
Because I think I have images of the disks that goes along with the original C= A500 test kit.

Yes, there were test disk used by Commodore Braunschweig to test every produced Amiga without further hardware. If you have these or anything similar it would be great to share !

Since the disks I have require the original test kit, they probably wouldn't be very useful to you.

Is there no way DiagROM can be written to a floppy? Would be of limited use of course.

There are some test tools which runs from disk, but you can test the system a lot more thoroughly when it is running from ROM, and it will also run even if you have errors in chip mem.

If you have an ACA500plus, you can flash DiagROM onto there and use it that way without needing a physical ROM chip.

I think the test disks being referred to are the ones from here, under the heading "Commodore Disks and Other ROM Releases":

http://web.archive.org/web/201009170...gadisks.co.cc/

BUT, these days much better to use Keir Fraser's systest these days, if you aren't able to use DiagROM that is:
