Mouse/Joystick Switcher

I used to have a mouse/joystick switcher on my Amiga. Any chance of emulating this? Being able to define two input devices on the mouse port and it switching between them when fire/mouse click is pressed would be nice.

Was it automatic?
I mean: how can it identify the mouse or the joystick by the fire button/left mouse button pressure only?

It's a nice hardware tool. I have this one from Roboshift.

Yeah it was automatic. Can't remember too much about mine tbh but probably similar to Retro-Nerds. I sold it with my original Amiga back in 1994

They were handy if you played a lot of 2-player games and didn't want to wreck the port/plug. Would be handy in Winuae to save mucking about in the menus.

Something similar is already implemented (and enabled by default) in FS-UAE (development versions).

Thanks for reminding, forgot to reply

WinUAE has had one for years. It is always active, just press button on any inactive joystick or mouse and it gets selected (and previously mapped becomes inactive)

Joystick button 1: insert in joystick port
Joystick button 2: insert in mouse port
Mouse left button: insert in mouse port
Mouse right button: insert in joystick port
