Bounty for Directory Opus Magellan II?

I have asked this to gpsoft, the owner of Directory Opus Magellan II: The other question is, would it be possible to open the source (f.e. for using it in Aros) and how much would you want to have for it? I would ask to make a bounty for it, perhaps there is enough interest. And the answer was: For the source, we would want something like A$5-10K. What do you think? Should we make a bounty?

I would contribute if it can be fixed to work with .png icons.

The minimum amount will be A5000$ and it will be on Power2People. I will announce it when it is ready.

@moxavius, of course it can be fixed to work with PNG icons, when source becomes available. It is written in C.

He really offered to open source Magellen? Or license it to you?

I didn't think he could open source it. He licensed the source to an Amiga company (don't remember which) who promised the earth and did nothing with it. It all depends on the exclusivity of that license.
