@Amigakit, I wasn't aware of the Loyalty bonus scheme.
I just checked my bonus situation... I see that I have to spend a total of £3000 for a 2.5% discount and a huge £10000 to achieve 7% discount? Am I reading the scheme right? If so, the potential savings for a significant investment do not look at all attractive. Particularly when a bit of gentle haggling in most shops can often secure a 10 - 20% discount. |

The coupon code EABDISCOUNT works on many products but we thought it was fair to introduce a discount scheme that incremented based on how much customers spent with us.
@DDNI Are you haggling now ;-) So now that we have introduced this scheme you will benefit from an extra discount that wasnt available previously. Unlike many discount schemes, the spend total does not expire or go back to zero. It is the total spend that a customer has ordered from us since the first order they placed. A lot of our customers have been shopping with us since 2004 so they have achieved maximum discount instantly. If we offered 20% customer discount on items, we would make a loss on many products. Most retail business would not offer 20% discount- that would be financial suicide (unless their margins were very large in the first place). Last edited by amigakit.com; 17 November 2010 at 22:10. |

@amigakit, I appreciate that your margins are tight on some lines
You are right, I am looking a gift horse in the mouth!! I am definitely not haggling, just pointing out that relative to mass market discount schemes the figures in the amigakit scheme "look" small. I fully understand that the economies of scale are against you all the time and you rarely have end of line stock to shift at huge discount. |

If you don't want to go out on a limb, I'll just keep it in my pants and check estimated delivery time once the pre-order is up. |

I'm sorry again for my annoying persistence on this, but It's a buying factor to me. How did those thermal tests go? Now that preordering the ACA630 is almost there (even you can do it at Vesalia, as seen before) any info about it will be much appreciated!
Any info about the future of Zetro's A608 project will also be appreciated too! As I've explained before (here and here), I have to make a decision between one or the other, so I need as much input as possible from both sources to check which suit my needs the best! -- |

My local hi-fi store may offer a 10-20% discount on high-end items if I ask for one, but it knows that if I don't like their price I could always go to a competitor with a minimum of inconvinience. Besides, a marketing trick often employed by retailers of high end items is to inflate the "ticket price" 10%-25% higher than the price the retailer is actually willing to sell it for. Which means the sales staff can offer what seem to be amazing discounts, which theoretically leaves the customer walking away with the warm-fuzzy feeling of having attained a bargain, and a fondness for the store which provided it. So you're not really getting a 10-20% discount at all, you're just falling for a simple marketing trick. |

@All
ACA630/25 is now available for pre-ordering. Individual Computers have authorised this today :-) @Adropac If the item is just in your cart, then it is *not* pre-ordered. You need to complete Checkout and the stock will then get allocated to you. Once pre-ordered you can check your order in Order History section of the website. Any problems with Checkout, please let me know and I will help you out. |

I bought 50, they're on my Amiga Shop:
FitzMiggy.com for £155 Only kidding, I don't see 'add cart' either But also I have about 50p in my account so no ACA630 for me, unless they still have the pre order open on pay day |
