DH:0 Failed...Suspend Reboot

Argh, while trying to put my pcmcia cf card in to my amiga I accidently must have knocked the ide interface and it came up with an error

---------------------------------
DH:0 failed to boot error #800004

Suspend Reboot
---------------------------------

So I reboot and check all the ide wires are pushed in firmly.

Same problem.

Do I need to disksalv or quaterback it?

What should I do?

I cant make a bootdisk with disk repair tools on because the HD is knackered

Turns out my Games partition is messes up as it shows NDOS when booted from floppy.

Going through a disksalv....everything is still there though

EDIT

Just validated Games and it came up with zero errors

But Games: is still NDOS

Going through a repair scan now and then will try a salvage

You should do it the other way round, because salvage allows you to copy all files to another partition without doing any changes to the damaged partition while repair might delete important files. If salvage fails to copy those important files, you have the chance to try another program or to write one especially for your propblem. But if repair fails, those files are lost. You should not do any changes to the damaged partition until the most important files are rescued.

Hmm I tried to use salvage but during the scan it just cut off and the program closed.

Ok I have ended up completely stripping my system and formatting my hard drives.
