This looks great! Kinda board game style! Like Space Crusade or something.

I wonder if this is based off the Leading Edge Games boardgame actually.

Yes, seems so, at least it has 3 scenarios too, being he first the reactor room with 9 marines vs the aliens, then the surviving marines start the next level... Looks quite the same with less squares

To Be On Top
Just found this today. One of the games that I still play on the C64 because it's just that good Now an Amiga version with proper music would be amazing!

An A1200 version of Substation with more detailed graphics was in development, but presumably any code is long-lost nowadays. UDS (who also did Obsession, first for STe then Amiga) went on to do the great arcade racer Ignition on the PC.

Staying on the STe theme, Zero 5 might be worth doing? And do we know what happened to Team, as reviewed by AP and supposedly successfully tested on an Escom Amiga by AF?

So, not an ST game, but has anyone looked into a hack and hostile port of the 4th table "The Vikings" for Pinball Illusions? I believe the DOS version is a port of the original made for the Amiga (but deemed 'not good enough').

While already transgressing; reading Retro Gamer #248 had an article on Puzznic. It looked to me like the Apple IIGS graphics were nicer - would a hostile "graphics port" be doable?

There was a curious 3D submarine game on ST with sampled sound that was quite impressive (at the time) called "Nautilus". Destroyed ships sink into the ocean and you can watch them underwater going to their watery grave. There was never an Amiga port afaik.

Wonder if there's any gains to be made moving some of the poly routines into blitter. Probably not tremendous.

(EDIT - though maybe not as available as I thought... don't think it's in the TOSEC )

lol if you start talking about putting Amiga quality graphics into Amiga games, rather than all the ST port job 16 color pixel art, then you have about 4000 games to update

Sure, but AFAIK the IIGS is also 16 colours. Hence my comment - it looked much nicer I thought.

Ammotrack by John M Philips was always rather impressive to me and I do believe never came to Amiga. Could be wrong but I recall this was also never officially released either and was offered on an ST coverdisk
