a1200 ultimate gaming machine

hey everyone im a newbie,
ive only ever used amigas for gaming

i have a a1200, i think its standard...i wouldnt know as i havent opened it yet and i wont know what isnt standard

ive been looking at a few videos

i would like to have a CF 4GB card
accelerator with as much memory and fastest as possible
better display to hook upto HDTV vga
ROM upgrade ( dont know much about this) whats difference?

ALSO THE MOST IMPORTANT, i would like to be able to play A500 floppies or ADF's (WHDLOAD)
is there a way to do this on the a1200 with a cf card?

Dude, get an 8 gig CF card, not 4 gigs, especially as you're planning on a ROM upgrade. 8 gigs works no probs if it's formatted with PFS3DS and partitioned right, and with all those games out there you'll fill 4 gigs too quickly.

Use a RGB-Scart cable and a LCD TV for the crispest picture unless you have the cash to shell out for an Indivision.

To play all the old games you just download the WHDLoad collection and unzip it. If the cops are watching you should then delete all the games you don't own and only keep the ones you have boxed copies of. If your floppy drive still works it should still boot from disks, but you're better off playing them from the CF card with WHDLoad than from disk.

Also get a PCMCIA CF card adapter and a second CF card to use for transferring files from your PC to the Amiga, saves the hassle of removing and reattaching an internal IDE CF which needs to be done when the computers are switched off.

fitsteve does a nice service over at amibay for this,but youll have to register at whdload for the key to use it to its fullest.

an aca 1230 or second hand blizzard 1230 mark four will make it really nice.(there are ALOT faster cards than these trust me i know lol,but for whdload this is fine)

not alot,if your only using the 1200 for games through whdload.

all this depends on what you want from your amiga,these are based on whdload.
