IMO Eclipse is better than VS. I'm working with both at the moment, and I have far more fun with Eclipse (yes, it's not just for Java development )

brrr eclipse, a java program sucking loads of memory from my low-end machine

well i admit eclipse is awesome in terms of functionality (for java, haven't tried the c++ plugin yet), i think it is too resource hungry
