Best games for playing at work?

It's very immature of me but when we're quiet at work I play Championship Manager ’93 EOS, I obviously love the game and the fact that there's no sound really helps. What other games do you or could you play at work? Obviously it mainly consists of mouse and keyboard games with no sound. I think it'd be obvious if I was playing with a pad or stick and loud noises.

I have also played Civ 2 & Imperialism 2 but I'm mainly looking for Amiga games.

EDIT: Oh, and I managed to complete The Secret of Monkey Island for the first time at work.

I cant believe people actually do this.
I could never do this, I would feel to guilty.

There may be the odd time where we are testing something and have say 5 mins go.
I remember thrashing matt at Lotus cause he challenged me. Even then that was almost home time.

LMFAO as well, I can just about post on EAB but I couldn't dream of playing games at work lol.

I guess you want adventure games really - Beneath a Steel Sky.

Remember Leisure Suit Larry (1? IIRC) had a boss key FTW! Displayed a graph and chart when you hit the key combo lol!

LOL, well you want simple arcade games like Deluxe Galaga etc. Perhaps some card games or fruit machine simulators would be fun.

Playing pinball games may look odd - as your hands will be either side of the keyboard on the shift keys - it does not look natural or like you are doing work LOL

Nethack or any text based roguelike is good to play at work. To the untrained observer it looks like a terminal window, it has no sound, and the game pauses between turns. It's also very difficult, so you can play for months without worrying about completing it!

I've played the odd game of Cannon Fodder although it just doesn't feel 'right' in work!

Used to have WinUAE on my PC in the office with a load of ADF's/Grand Theft Auto Vice City

Don't have it now since rebuilding my machine with Win 7

i.e. too busy!

On my breaks I often whip out a gaming treat. Pokemon red is my current choice. But if I am on a night shift and can get to the tv then anything is possible.

I have finished prince of persia on a break. Super mario bros gets a hammering most times. Alundra I completed over the course of a week. Same with apocalyps. Super frog, alien breed and project x.

Just to name a few.

Haha! I'm far to valuable for that to ever happen.

I don't go into work to play games, only when there's like 10-20 mins where I have free time.

I spent my last three months at my last job playing games and surfing the net whilst waiting for my redundancy date!

All our work was gone so nothing else to do all day! At first I had my GP32 with me and was playing all the emulator classics like Megadrive/Snes/Mame

After a while I though fudge it and took my Laptop in! Much more fun

Lets see what did I play?

Well I revisited some old friends such as Doom III, Quake IV and UnrealII (which I never finished the first time)

I also played through FarCry again which looked stunning on my little 10in ASAS N10JH

Of course I used my headphones

However back in the day we used to play Championship Manager on Network play at my old work, this will be one of the really early PC relases... We had a season in the Championship, I remember I was Watford and my two mates were Fulham and QPR!

It was actually great and did disrupt like you would think, we'd be working and when our turn came round we'd make our changes and hit 'next' then get back to work!

Of course we played network games like Quake and Unreal Tournament but only in our own time
