A1200 RGB out broken
So today I did something monumentally stupid and plugged in the RGB video cable while my A1200 & monitor were both on. I normally never do this, but I had forgotten to plug it in and well... I wanted to try something out quickly and it happened.
Anyway, to make a long story short:
Thanks a lot for any assistance! |

To be honest, probably not a lot is broken. Does your display need the RGB select voltage to put it in RGB mode (often the case with SCART)? If so, it's possible you've shorted out the 5V or 12V line against ground, resulting in a burned trace or ferrite bead on that line. If you damaged the actual red, green or blue signals, composite wouldn't work either.

I'm not sure it needs that, it's connected to a Philips CM8833. Don't have the manual of that one at the ready as it's a 2nd hand one. Let me see if I can find something on Google.

Managed to find the manual. It has an RGB status voltage switch, pressing that restores the image so it seems your suggestion is indeed correct. Thanks for the help, I now know what needs to be fixed!
