Floppy disk My game is now available - Free

I have decided to release a game that I had been working on for many years both as a pet project and for entertainment. Myself and two friends spent hours playtesting and adding new ideas. Having stumbled upon the code using WinUAE, I decided to fix a few things and release it to the Amiga community in the hopes that they to will enjoy it as much as we did! (Still do!)

Have a look... (you may have to click refresh once or twice )

Thanks to Shoonay for mentioning this.

what video modes does it support? the screens look rather 'stretched' and hard to read (?)

Ok I need some time to learn it! The interface isn't very user friendly

From the WinUAE Display page:

It looks best in 640x480x16 Scanlines, Horizontal Centering Full screen RTG. That should solve the squashed look. BTW looks bad without scanlines!

Hmmm... During combat or the main screen? Remember - in combat you can store your values so that you needn't have to click so much (Not so great the first couple of levels as you generally lack the stamina to sustain max power)
By level 4 you be starting to put a smack down... until you qualify for horde fights...

See the help screen at the bottom of the screenshot page of my site. Its a text overlay with info on everything. Thanks for giving it a shot!

I'm actually going to update the games manual (Combat update is done!) and upload that and there are still some bug fixes I want to complete. Cause I'm like that...working on an old game...

Shoonay's bugreport #0001
Subject: Battle Circle
Theme: Screen centering

Alrighty just checked it a little, but couldn't get far couse of the in-game screen being way-too-up-in-the-sky/over the top of my monitor...
Could you do something about that? Could i do something about that, without moving the "steering wheels" of my monitor???
As a matter of fact, this starts with the title screen with that nice black & white drawing being too high and a bit too far on the left...

I would really like to center it without using them knobs - i've did that already many times, testing games and stuff...

When the game starts and your in the town view RIGHT CLICK the use the cursor keys to reposition the screen!

Also try

...On second look, the best display setup in WinUAE's display properties seems to be:

640x480x16 Horizontal Centering Scanlines Full Screen RTG

You may then not have to do any of the cursor bits. Let me know if this helps.

There's a little, tiny, kleine, problem here... i have a real Amy - no Center horizontal/vertical option

--== EDIT ==--
The "right click in town then cursors" trick works, but is the position saved somewhere? (prefs?, save?)

Yes. It should be saved to the World.dat file.

See - thats forward thinking if I don't say so myself! (actually I think I had the screen center error myself)

It works on the miggy! Sweet! Been awhile since I've seen it on 'er! (Breaking out the 1200 soon )

Ive visited the link but havent DLed the game as I dont think its my sort of thing.

Having said that I am very impressed at how professional it looks and its great to see a new Amiga game

Maybe Ill give it a go before I dismiss it as 'not for me' completely.

I made these using the 3D construction kit many moons ago and even won £50 for project shield in Amiga format.

I think they are out there somewhere so to some people they may be new

I also put them on the original tribute cd i think
