Hi Malc!!!

Another excellent site!!!
I don't think you'll go to far wrong if he keeps up these remixes & also the megamixes!!
The site has a great layout and it caters for everyones needs, offering games, demo, mods & much more.

Like RCK said, it is going to be hard trying to improve it.

Keep up the good work Malc!!!

Thanks!!

Thank you very much guys!!

I honestly never thought that people liked Amiga Legal Emulation that much and I'll try to keep the site updated with as much information, games, demos, remixes, megamixes, etc as possible.

New sections will be added in the future including a rather nice looking interview section so keep your eyes open.

It makes a change to see some positive comments for a change, thanks.

You mispelled the name of one of my fav demos.

Yeah man, the site is great and you've done well, especially seeing all the s**t you had to take off a lot of mindless 'netligans' that flamed you on the emutalk board.

However, I'm not 100% behind you until you start posting your lovely news at http://www.agnus.org.uk - I've made it a lot simpler with logins, so there isn't any excuse!

Amiga Legal Emulation - second review

I thought I would reply to this as I find when downloading files it is very slow.

Does everyone else find it slow?
Should Malc put restriction times, like AMI Sector One, to get better dload speeds?

I still think ALE is a great site.

Unfortunately that’s the current state with the ZTNet servers, let’s hope they get better soon (and let’s hope they put a spam and virus filter on there mail servers, around 10 spam e-mails per day and 2 220k nice virus files for me to download everyday on my @emuunlim.com addy)

I don’t think download time limits are the answer, the file will get there if you wait

ALE New Look Review 2002

What do you all think of the new design of ALE?

Looking Good so far but...

I personally prefer the old design at the moment but the new design will probably grow on me.

@Malc

I found a few broken links, also the poll would only work for me on the home page.

Broken link
http://ale.emuunlim.com/emulators.htm and
http://ale.emuunlim.com/required-files.htm
The Back to Home links goes to http://ale.emuunlim.com/assassins.htm

Broken link 2
http://ale.emuunlim.com/reviews/hydrozone.htm
The Back to Home links goes to file:///C|/Business/Web%20Sites/ALE%202k2/index.htm

Hang on it looks like most of the Back to Home links on each review is broken.

Keep up the good work.

I think the new look is fairly good though a little standard.

I think I'm missing something though. I was reading through a couple of reviews and thought of reading the review of Speedball 2.

In the gameplay part of the review it stated
Quote:
Whether you're a fan of football or not Speedball 2 will have you hanging on to your joysticks and coming back for more for years to come, the Bitmap Brothers certainly had a talent for developing some great games on the Amiga and Speedball 2 is just one of them.

This is highly recommended by us here at ALE.
Yet at the bottom where it gives out stars it gets 1 star and the comment "Barely registering as a game!" Was there a mixup somewhere or is this just a great non-game recommended by ALE?

Hmm I just noticed and I think it's a mixup somewhere as the rating is that of a game named Space Ace. I thought the scores looked familiar.

Thanks Paul & Drake

Fixes are being made as I type this - uploading replacements to EU. Full credit will be given on the main page so look out for your names as a little reward.

Sorry Malc. I was just giving an example. There were other pages I found later when reading reviews which also had a problem. I'll list what I find here then.

-Altered beast has gotten Allo allo's title in the scores. Comments and scores are different though.
-Blastar has Bionic Commando's title in the scores. The scores themselves are ok
-I'm sure Robocop would appreciate getting his own pictures and not Rick dangerous'
-Speedball 2 is still named Space ace in the short recap over the scores (Hmm maybe it's my cache playing tricks on me)
-Xenon has the scores listed twice with different size letters

Just so you don't have to hunt through the others. Check a couple of them. It could be my cache playing tricks on me.

And I don't really need credit for pointing out an error. If it should warrent anything it would be a flame I thought.

Gonna be a problem to do that P-J (quote):

Site Removed !

PlusNet Technologies have removed this site due to: Exceeding Bandwidth Quota.

As for ALE, almost everything on the navigation bar is coming up 404 errors for me atm...

Codetapper - What!? - the navigation bar is working fine at my end, let me know the pages etc

Paul - Fixed - again.

Update: The downloads (zip etc) aren't working at this exact moment in time due to server loads at EU. The problem should be sorted in a few hours/minutes.

That reminds me...

Malc, I noticed that your site says you are still looking for some of the Assassins disks (the ones with NDOS bootblocks). I downloaded good versions of these from usenet recently - they appear to boot and work fine. If you (or anyone else) need these, just let me know and I'll whack them in the zone .

TikTok - that would be cool - we've had these offered before but still have probs uploading them. If I manage to get you FTP access to the Assassins folder of ALE do you think you could help out?

What's your connection speed?

Sure thing...

I'm only on 56K, but access is free evening and weekends so that isn't really a problem.

If you want to PM me the details I can leave it uploading one night, no worries .
