Big Book of Amiga Hardware - new site and domain
The Big Book of Amiga Hardware (BBoAH) is back online again on a new domain:
www.bigbookofamigahardware.com The original site www.amiga-hardware.com, created and maintained by Ian Chapman is still online, but has not been updated since 2006 and will only continue to exist as long as Ian wants - but it will NOT be updated anymore. A link to the new BBoAH will be placed at the old site very soon. All data and pictures has been exported to the new home of BBoAH and the site has been reprogrammed from scratch. A few new features is planned and the layout will also be updated soon (any CSS ninjas who volunteers?). All emails with updates to BBoAH sendt to Ian from contributors from all over the world, has been forwarded to me and will be added to the database in the near future - a few items has already been added/updated. If you have an item that should be added, please contact me. Hopefully the community will support the new BBoAH, so we can make the database even more complete. Thanks to Ian for his willingness to pass on he's work and great effort in creating the original BBoAH. regards, bitman www.bigbookofamigahardware.com Probably the largest Amiga hardware reference on the net, with more than 1800 items listed. |

Cool news, but BBoAH has been online since June 2007 maintained by Amiga Resistance.
http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=30207 There have been hundreds if not thousands of fixes by myself and others. Will you be able to sync up? Their German site is here : http://www.bboah-works.de/ Their english version is here but has gone out of sync with the German version http://www.bboah.com/ The main problem with BBoAH is / was the custom database. I did work for a while on converting it to Wiki with Mario but the task was never finished. Without the ability for the users to maintain the site I felt that as enthusiasm died off so would the updates and I was right Good luck with your work. Nice to see people active again. Yes, english version is out out sync, and I think that's why Ian let med have the data. There a lot of updating to be done -but I dont mind that. But if anybody have ready to submit material, I'll be happy to enter it.
I'll try to sync the database, if possible. |

Great, I loved BBoAH as it was the first site I used for Amiga hardware reference
It'd be a great thing if you can sync up with all the other versions of BBoAH existing (I can remember yet another, aside from the one mantained from Amiga-Resistance and Ian - I might be wrong though) We really need a new, stable site updated with all the latest hardware Mr. Schoenfeld and the other Amiga homebrew hardware engineers are producing |

Great effort! While it is no beauty, it is great to see it continue on.

bitman is doing an awesome job over on the big book of Amiga hardware site - there have been some updates recently including a couple of items from myself... (Don't you just love old Genlocks?! - I do!)
@Fitzsteve, Steve, need to see some of your more obscure Amiga items on the site mate! updates are here... http://www.bigbookofamigahardware.co...h/updates.aspx |
