REQ: Arctic Baron (Transarctica US version)
This goes to the U.S. folks here...
As HOL states that the game was released under Arctic Baron in the U.S., I wonder if there was a separate game box entitled ARCTIC BARON on the front cover? This would definitely be a great addition, since I've never gotten to see the US box (if it exists at all) |

Actually I'm posting at least once a week.
The same situation is with Genesia. Released in US as Ultimate Domain but only as PC DOS and PC DOS CD. |

I do know that Arctic Baron (US Version of Transarctica) was not published by Silmarils like in Europe. It was instead published by ReadySoft. It seems in the US the majority (or all) of the Silmarils games were published by ReadySoft. Including the Ishar series.
This can be said about the MS-DOS 3.5" Disk version and the CD version. In regards to the Amiga version I am unsure who published it (most likely ReadySoft) not certain though. At least I captured/supplied the PC-DOS conversion screenshot of Arctic Baron in HOL. Basically imagine the original transarctica box but with the Silmarils logo still in the middle but to the right of it you will see the ReadySoft logo included. This is a good example: -Front- Last edited by niobyte; 03 March 2010 at 18:20. Reason: Inclusion of image |
