1084S Monitor over-heating ??

My monitor is getting hot, it's defiantly over-heating. I can't bare to leave it on more than half an hour because in the last 5 minutes there's some clicking/popping noises coming from the speakers (at least I think it's from the speakers) then you get the odd flickers on screen during those noises. The heat, well, you could almost cook an egg on it! This is the monitor that had to be repaired cause the yolk burnt out. I thought it was fixed but it's over heating now. What to do?
I know they get hot but this is pretty super hot!

Send a message via MSN to dlfrsilver
Some parts are failing. Stop using it, and try to get in touch with someone able to make it

Oh my goodness - this thread brought back memories of my old 1084 monitor - when it was about 10 years old in the late ninties it started to get super hot, so I mounted a 90 mm computer cooling fan on the vents in the back! Who knows if it helped, but it worked another year or so before dying totally.
I had a nice 1942 monitor so I was not to concerned about it at the time, but now I wish I would have fixed it instead of tossing it when it died.
