Yam settings

Hi,

Back into the amiga after 15+ years.. Using WinUAE with AmigaSys4, and i am trying to set up Yam for emails.. (my old A500 was thrown out by my parents, and although i have tried Amithlon.. WinUAE was the easiest.. going to try Amithlon again in the future, or perhaps buy an A1200)

I can receive email no problem, but get an error when sending......

Connection with server 'smtphm.sympatico.ca' was interrupted while trying to send command 'RSET'

This may be due to a connection dropped by the server.

I'm in Canada, using Bell Sympatico.

Sympatico requires SSL, on incoming email i've sellected SSLv3, which sets the right port at 995

For outgoing email SSLv3 set the port to 465. Sympatica requires port 25. Set to SSLv1, i get port 25, but get the above error. If set to SSLv3, i cannot connect at all to the server..

Hoping somebody has experience with sympatico or can at least offer me some suggestions..

Thanks

Bryan

Sign up to gmail, use their SMTP server instead. Or use any open smtp relay you can find (though that might stop your emails from reaching some destinations).
