Unhappy TFX Problems

Ok, I installed TFX (WinUAE 0.8.17R2) and now I have three options ..... 68000, 68020+FPU, 68040 ....
040 causes WinUAE to crash back to Windows, the two others seem to start, I can here the Intro/Menu music but no Grafix appear ... I´m still on my WB and can work on (but I can hear the music) ..... any solutions ??

Sometimes WinUAE can't change from a high Workbench graphics card resolution to a lower game one. Try running it with an 020 processor and without using Picasso.

Would it be worth running it on an 020???

That games needs a bit of grunt to make it worthwhile playing from what I recall.

Well, that´s the nice side of WinUAE-JIT that 020er emulation is faster than a 060/66Mhz real Amiga but you are right, on a real Amiga it would be a pain to use 020 with TFX !

On my 030 it ran shit. I doubt 020 would be anywhere near playable

I just found out The ONLY way for me to get TFX to run in WinUAE is boot with NO startup-sequence and AGA on, then just ignore all error messages and start "TFX_FPU" from CLI .... run´s nice and smooth, think I never ever heard such great voice samples on Amiga at all

I just transfered TFX to my A1200 ..... and guess what It runs faster than on WinUAE and my A1200 only got a 030@50Mhz. Even with the outer view (my favourite zoom) when pressing F6, there´s NO slow down and the sound is way better than the PC Version ...... This is a true Amiga Gem

The problem is, the games don´t have direct links, so Flashget might not work .... I remember I´ve tried that some time ago and only got error messages, so I had to go to the site and click LEFT and wait for the download to start If you get any other results, please post your flashget list

@Amigaboy : you can call me "Mr SearchEngine" from now on

Here you go, a little later than promised

These may or may not work properly, if they don't just let me know because I know why and I'll upload one that will work for you

All the files that say ?name= are no longer on the server, and get file not found errors

Deleted list, see below for better one

TFX isn't one of the ones that don't work, it downloads fine.

Heres a revised list with all games that aren't there any more removed, please note TFX is still there

One thing though, you will NOT be able to resume downloads if you stop them for longer than five minutes (Maybe less I don't know)

All files now have a ?name in them now, this is fine, it's needed to make the downloads work properly. Just start them and you will be fine.

OMG! OMG! OOHHHHHHHHHHHMFG!!! The downloads survived Amiga Inc.'s wrath? Never though such a thing would happen!

How did you first discover the downloads page after it was shut down, RetroMan?
