Here is what i can tell after a quick test.
Feature requests : . Ability to "stick" the file information window on the main one, like the playlist does (or maybe i missed the option ?) . Some fade out option after the music would be fine, especially if its settings can be set at the song level . Wondering what "pitch" is for, apart damaging the music. "Playspeed" would be more useful to me. Problems found : . The bug which doesn't bring back all windows to the top is still there. To reproduce, run some program (like a browser), then bzr, then click on the program's window (bzr disappears behind) then activate bzr again on the task list. Only the main window returns. . Midi files indeed play correctly. It doesn't appear computed playtime is always right, though (or maybe some midis contain huge silence at the end ?) . Many MEDs still don't go well, e.g. "Intro" from BloodNet (goes total wrong after 1:12), Canyon Glide like i signaled previously, etc. They more or less sound like if they were converted to XMs before play. . I don't remember exactly but it seems problems i've signaled for MODs aren't fixed either. . Assertion failed uade_read_size>0 when attempting to load a VectorDean. Name it "sng.something" with relevant "ins.something", should be enough. . COSO plays silent when the sample file is not found. . Playing a custom mod fine, then song end is signaled. Sound stops (while the custom mod is able to loop) but bzr doesn't notice and behaves like still playing. Perhaps related to subsongs. . Some DT custom mods work while others don't. . Some effects missed in digital mugician (try mugis from bump'n'burn) . Player 4.1 not played like converted Protracker - let internal prowiz do it and it'll be fixed . COSO 7v, maxtrax, tcb tracker, are not recognised (perhaps a message should appear instead of remaining silent in this case ?) |

It crashes when I try to play a file.
I am running it on an old system though (Windows Vista). Could that be it? |

My music files are all MP3 nowadays. They all crash, unfortunately.

BZR Player version 1.03 struck out my entire playlist and wouldn't let me play anything.
BZR Player version 0.92 works perfectly. Thanks for making such a lightweight player. It's much less bloated and unwieldy than both Windows Media Player and Winamp. Be awesome if you could make a video player that was just as responsive and easy to use. Last edited by Muzkat; 03 August 2015 at 15:30. |

That's odd...hard to do anything about it though, too little information. Glad you like it anyways

Is it a limitation of BZR Player or its UADE players, that it cant handle music formats with external samplefile, if file suffix is used?
Example: Apidya-END.mdat Apidya-END.smpl by double clicking Apidya-END.mdat i get windows error message! This happens with most musics, which have external samplefiles, Maxtrax for example too. Anyway, nice Player for Windows. |

For BZR it seems you have to name them mdad.Apidya-END and smpl.Apidya-END.

Well, maybe I can shed some light on this "issue". (I won't see it as an issue per se, tho)
UADE uses the original Eagleplayers for replaying Amiga formats so if the m68k replayer follows internally the Amiga prefix naming convention and looks for sample files in the Amiga fashion it doesn't know it's on Windows/Unix etc... We decided not to work around it (like upper/lowercase vs. Amiga nocase filename), so, turrican.tfx & turrican.smp will never be supported, unless the replayer does it natively. sorry, our fault, not BZR ;-) Last edited by mld; 29 August 2015 at 10:52. |

I was formerly Deliplayer for PC user, but since i moved to Windows 8, Deliplayer is not a choice for me anymore because of incompabilty.
So i know, that most of external Deli/Eagleplayers were working with file suffix too, 100% with TFMX. |

Well, Wanted Team/Don Adan's TFMX Eagleplayer clearly does not, which is the most compatible atm, iirc..
We receive the filename via Amiga dos.lib call from the emulator. Which file should be loaded and Amigastyle filenames is not changed. The only thing UADE does with the filename outside emulation is Upper/lower case handling (corr: we also catch s:, prefs: and changed them to normal filenames), because on Unix case sensitivity matters. IIrc Deliplayer reimplemeted the tfmx player natively in c, so they might have done things differently. Last edited by mld; 29 August 2015 at 11:21. |

So in this case Deliplayer was more comfortable for me, simply assign any suffix in Windows, doubleclick> listen music!
too bad. Regarding Richard Joseph ziks, looks also strange for me! Examples: James Pond 2 - Robocod world1.rjp doubleclick - BZR detects Richard Joseph by UADE engine - no sound James Pond 2 AGA - James Pond 2 AGA (Bath).sng and James Pond 2 AGA (Bath).ins doubleclick - BZR detects Richard Joseph this time by FLOD engine - works fine this time even with suffix and external sampledata. DeliPlayer can play musics under win8 with xp compatibility mode, but double-clicking files doesn't appear to work - you have to open them manually.
For me the best way remains WinUae running old good DeliTracker2 (even though this uses more cpu power than i'd wish). Even better was switching on my A1200 to listen to musics... |
