System-4: Mister Tengus Adventure

Heya HOL friends,

This game on HOL needs updating; all information / screenshots are taken from the '1989 Preview' version and not the '1990 Release' version.

Please see this thread: System-4: Mister Tengus Adventure

I've put in The Zone! two archives for you that contain screenshots:

a) System-4_1989Preview_Screenshots.rar
b) System-4_1990Release_Screenshots.rar

Nice, HOL updated! You might need to refresh page to see the new screenshots.

This game look fun. Wonder why I haven't recorded a longplay yet Will add this to my list and take screenshots from all levels for HOL at the same time. Do you know how many levels there are?

Just made it to level 17. From level 16 onwards you need to jump on squares twice to change their colour.

That blue raspberry looking enemy AKA "Paint Fool" who changes squares back to their original colour is a real pain in the bum

Got up to level 27

From 17 the levels repeat, but as mentioned above you need to jump on the squares twice.

Alrighty, have now finished this game. There are 32 levels and here's the final screen if HOL / Lemon Amiga want to use it:

Played a few levels just for fun. I am pretty sure that I played this before. The reason I did not record a video was probably because I discovered that the levels loops after 17 levels. Good work taking your time to find out that you must play the levels twice

I was thinking when playing, next time the levels repeat I'm going to have to jump on the squares 3 times

If that was the case I would have quit...

Edit: I kept a save state from the start of level 30. Just played the last few stages again; on level 32 you do actually have to jump on squares 3 times to change their colour!!!

the music info is also from the 1989 release, its the poor sound st-01 sounds tune, not the much better title music in the 1990 release. i did try ripping the 1990 release music but the samples and M.K playroutines are separted in memory file, so exotic ripper wont rip them properly :/

Released on Amiga Fun (UK) issue 1 (11/90) as (C) Double Density. Music artist Tomas Dahlgren is credited as NorthStar. The music can be found on the North Star Megademo 2 and is titled "the happy sprite".
