EAB/Lemon Super League 2008: Round 4 (SWIV) Playmode?

How would you like the SWIV-contest be played?

1) Helicopter score only
2) Helicopter- and Jeep-scores added

I voted i dont care. I've never played this game before. If one vehicle has a distinct advantage, i think we should play as both to spice things up and keep the challenge interesting.

Also members on Lemon are being asked to give their opinions so they will be "added on" to this poll's scores.

Yeah the problem is not because i don't like both Jeep & Helicopter, the problem for me is trying to find the time for both! I love using both, but its just time constraints, hence the reason why i chose helicopter only.

I must admit I don't like playing as the jeep. It's all well and good in two-player mode but it feels a little gimmicky in one-player.

Also I have noticed some rather unfamiliar names on the poll. Hopefully they are at least interested in taking part rather than voting for the sheer hell of it and mucking up the voting as has happened in the past.

Well, I don't think we'll see KG in the contest - but "thanks" for your vote!

Yeah i must admit it does feel a little gimmicky. I bought the original of SWIV in 1991 and after about the first week of owning it, i didn't bother with the Jeep and just stuck with the Helicopter.

I also managed to finish it with only 1 life left, so here's hoping it all comes back to me so i can FINALLY come 1st But damn some of you guys on here are a bit TOO good.. and the sound those guardians make when they shoot their big Laser Cannon or Cannons has always scared the absolute shit out of me!.. Damn they used great sound effects for that game!!

Don't understand why everyone says that - they just reused the same sound fx as in Silkworm! (And again didn't bother to compose any bgm at all.)

Yeah you are right, they are the same sound effects as from Silkworm but that doesn't make them any worse! But i will admit that the sound the Heli makes when you shoot is really shit! it could have been a lot more meaty and yes background music would have made one hell of a difference since i always used to think back then as i do now that music is %50 of the atmosphere when done properly!
