A1200 bundle on ebay

Please move if this is the wrong section.

Spotted this today
https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/233250609452

Looks like a nice bundle.

Chatted with the seller a bit as I had to correct him on the joystick, but seems like a genuine 1 owner machine being sold by it's original owner, not a reseller.

I would bid but I like being married at the moment lol.

Bit much for an unexpanded (not even a CF/SD card HD) machine.

Originality is the charm for some. It has 20 bids so someone thinks that's what it is worth.

It's not like it's covered in chocolate finger prints like most, and given it's an original owner, I doubt any restoration has taken place so it's not retrobrite.

Hehe I'm having flashbacks to the 300ZX owners forum, where they all always wanted top dollar when selling their own cars, but as soon as anyone else posted a car for sale it was "He's dreamin"

Totally agree with this, the prices for Amiga's these days are ridiculous imo. If I didn't already have all the machines I want (bought years ago) I would just be using emulation now.

I'm sure I have an unexpanded A1200 with intact warranty seal and I believe in white condition in storage. At this price I may as well sell it...

What does a stock A1200 have? 2MB Ram? AGA? ...did they all have internal HDD or is that an upgrade?

If you're willing to wait to mid next year we could chat Can't get away with it this year lol. But a GOOD A1200 is on my list for sure.

It's a machine I never owned, so there's no Nostalgia attached for me. It's more a chance to discover what I missed out on.

Those pesky wives! Always telling us what we can do and, worse still, what we CAN'T do. On pain of no conjugal benefits

Sigh, it's a cross we all have to carry. Good thing we love each other!

Of course, what she doesn't find out about can't hurt her. Or do I mean won't hurt me? If you've got a well stuffed computer room will she really notice one more thing?

Hmmmm, am I willing to bet on it? Um, let's see, new computer, no conjugal benefits, new computer, no conjugal benefits. Such a hard decision!

PS "conjugal benefits" is the most polite euphemism for "nookie" I could come up with that I thought non Americans would get
