Silent Install
OK some weird kinkiness here but I build install DVDs so I can re-install my PC setup periodically from a virgin install but resulting in my "custom setup" the way I like it (XP SP2 Classic look, loads of pre-installed packages like Nero etc).
I want to add WinUAE to my custom DVD (so every PC I have at home come pre-installed as an Amiga!!!!). Is there a switch like "WinUAEInstaller.exe /s" that tells it to go install without any user input? Better still is there a switch that tells it to auto install to a directory/drive? eg "WinUAEInstaller.exe /s /d:\winuae\" Anyone ??? (Tony???) |

Believe me, the installer isn't terribly complicated - perhaps it creates one or two registry strings, but that's about all. You should be fine with simply copying the folder of an already 'installed' (lol, I love this notion of software only working if it is 'installed'...) WinUAE.

Try what? As I said, you don't need to install WinUAE, simply running the executable is enough.

If i remembe well, there is all the zipped archive! You could create a self-extract archive with default path like c:\amiga. I used the winrar self-extractor and you have MANY options like auto silent mode, don't prompt overwrite and so on... it works well.
Hope I helped you! Bye!!!! |

But the Amiga Programs folder only contains software for the Amiga side, and again this does not need installation either.

Hence my ORIGINAL question to Mr Wilen which was IS there a set of switches for the installer etc as it doesnt use a standard installer like Wise or MSI or whatever. |

Installer is not needed. All registry entries are created by winuae.exe automatically.
Installer is nullsoft's installer because it is extremely small. I guess it must have some command line parameters for quiet install. |
