I up and watched a couple of my old time favorites the other day.

Dr. Strangelove and Spaceballs

Just remember:

"Gentlemen, there is NO FIGHTING in the War Room!"

I think I might binge the Matrix Trilogy over the next few days. The sequels aren't on the same level as the original, but they're watchable.

I see I'm not the only one rewatching any and all movies I just have any classic movie I come across running while working from home. So far I've burned through Policy Academy (I wonder why...), the first three Bourne movies, Jurassic Park, John Wick for the umpteenth time, the Irishman for the second time, Don't Mess with the Zohan (sue me, I love that movie), SWAT... many more. Good, bad, it doesn't really matter when it's just to kill the silence.

I "watch" them while working so it can't be anything I haven't seen yet. I mostly listen to them and replay what is happening in my head

We've seen School of Rock (2003), and to my surprise, it was very interesting to both kids and us, parents. My daughter reminds me of girl with chello and she also wants to dump violin for guitar.

Kids really dig Jack Black and humor in movie. Ending is well done, and just lovely song at the end.

Michael J. Fox's the Hard Way (also with a hilarious James Woods). Often overlooked, but I love that movie. Its R-rated Lethal Weapon.

Overboard (2018) Another remake from duplywood... and not as bad as you would expect, thanks to main actor - Eugenio Derbez.

Difference between old version and new version - this time is she who tricks him and it made for nice relaxing movie night with some nice and crude humor.

Overall, would agree with IMDB...

6 / 10

ps. This weekend on list to watch - new Zombieland movie.

If you like that kind of film, maybe you will enjoy watching Andrew Bergman's The Freshman (1990). Film features Marlon Brando & Matthew Broderick on top of their game.

I've seen it, it was quite okay. 80's, 90's buddy-whatever movies are always fun. 48hrs and Another 48hrs are more favorites of mine. Eddie Murphy and Nick Nolte made quite the obnoxious yet funny pairing

Also: Bruce Willis' the Last Boyscout and Steven Seagal's the Glimmer Man are movies I can rewatch forever (both containing different Wayans bros as the buddy).

Onward (2020) Exactly what we need at this moment, sad family movie and his quest to see his dad for very short time. Not to spoil the ending, but it could be better...

Sonic the Hedgehog (2020) - Jim Carrey really made this movie interesting, and not to diminish rest of the crew. It was cute that at the end of movie, my son asked - isn't first zone in Sonic Green Hills?! Had to dig out Sega Genesis (megadrive in EU) and original cartridges.... Kids liked the movie....

...and he'd be correct; "Green Hill"

I have two movies that I need to watch, but will wait until the weekend.
...don't really have high hopes for either to be honest
