@Bamiga2002
I'd say probably not, some of the comments in this thread made me chuckle |

If people are really serious about this (there are others trying to get the Appolo designs from Jens), they would best be served by setting up a non-profit run on donations that could raise money to buy the rights, schematics etc.
This would also go a long ways in showing these individuals that the community is serious about saving the Amiga. And when one company/individual donated/sold their IP I think other companies/individuals would be more likely to do the same. Anyone know a good lawyer who would help set this up? I think the people running it would have to be elected/appointed by the community some how. Personally I would love to see this stuff become available to the Amiga community. Just my 2₵. |

I was thinking more about this. A couple things that would be important for me to back:
1. All designs would be available to the community for FREE. 2. If the organization decided to have some boards and such made, they would be offered to the community for cost + shipping. 3. All work done by any member on these projects would have to be FREE. For example A person converts old iff PCB layout into portable PCB format that is used today (aka Gerber). There are already some works out there that I would bet the owner(s) would be willing to grant some rights to: http://aminet.net/package/docs/hard/2megagnus50d4 http://aminet.net/package/docs/hard/romswitcher31 I am sure there are more out there too. Jens could also possibly donate/sell old unsupported IP (docs/schematics/code/rights) to this organization. Anyone game? How about this for a name: Open Amiga Foundation The more I think about this, the more I like it! |

Jens will never give the apollo designs to the community. He was never pleased with them. He said so in the past.
