I received my copy of the Pixel Nation Issue 2 today, thanks.
And I have to say that it's as good as Issue 1. Keep up the good work! |

Fantastic news and what I'm hoping will excite some of you, both issues of Pixel Nation are now available for £5.99 including free shipping. This lasts until the 20th August so just 2 weeks or until the stock runs out.
Thanks to a special offer from the printers we have been given a much lower price on the current print run but once they are gone its back to normal. We only have a small number of these so it really is first come, first serve. Who knows if this goes well it might become a more regular price assuming I can negotiate enough with the printers! Issue 1 can be found here: http://pixel-nation.co.uk/index.php/...nation-issue-1 Issue 2: http://pixel-nation.co.uk/index.php/...nation-issue-2 I've also dropped the price of the PDF download to match as well. Good news! The price drop we ran the other week was a huge success and after talking to a new printers have managed to slash the price again, this time for good. Both volumes can now be bought for £6.99 including postage. I will keep trying to bring the price down, the idea of course is for as many people as possible to read each issue
http://pixel-nation.co.uk/index.php/...nation-issue-2 In other news we have managed to snag exclusive looks at a couple of unreleased games, a GBA and PC title. One of our writers is doing both pieces but the plan is also to take a lot of screenshots and video footage so there will be a decent online record available beyond the actual issue. Hoping to turn this into a regular feature with a decent look at a new unreleased game each issue. |

Been awhile since our last post but things are still happening behind the scenes for PN3! In the run up to the 3rd issue I thought I'd run a competition, simply visit the sites Facebook page and like the competition entry:
http://www.facebook.com/PixelNation Closing time is October 20th 2012. Where I will pick a winner at random from the likes and ship the books out, so won't cost the winner a penny. Please spread the word |

@Lorfarius
First up - Hi! I've just ordered Issues 1 & 2 (real & pdf), downloaded the pdf copies and spent the last 20 minutes or so browsing through them... I must say that I'm very impressed and very much looking forward to my 'real' copies arriving - pdfs ARE great, but there's something nicer (imo) about a physical copy. Just a quick question. The pdf of Issue 2 doesn't quite seem to be of the same high quality of Issue 1 (but still very good, mind) and, although two pages longer is approximately 1/3 of the size (in MB) of Issue 1. Is there a reason for this? Or have I done something wrong? Cheers and all the best for the upcoming issue. Simon. |

Hope you like them when they arrive Every copy sold really does help us out.
We had a change of webdesigner between 1&2 and the new guy used different software to compress the PDF. Can think only think that's why the sizes are different. |

I received my copies of PN 1 & 2 earlier this week and, echoing what Prowler said above, they are both excellent. Thankyou!
Looking forward to Issue 3 now... PS - Already ordered another copy of each for the missus!!! |

Just added the 4th issue of Retrocade magazine to U-Publish. Packed full of content with a rather in depth look at sex in video games!

Some news! Work on PN3 is forging ahead and we have around 80 pages finished so far so expect a release soon!
David Marsh of Shadowgate fame talks to us, a look at the GBA unreleased game Spiralstone and a lengthy chat with Stephen Hornback responsible for the likes of Duke Nukem/Alice and a pretty in-depth look at Myth (one of my all time favs as a kid for the Speccy). More interviews, improvements to designs and even more writers are joining the team. Really proud with what we have managed to achieve so far and looking forward to hearing what people thing. As PN3 comes round seriously considering stopping the print runs for older issues, it costs a lot of money to get these done guys and it always has to be in bulk. So there's a good chance that once the older issues have sold out there won't be reprints so grab em while you can. Some previews of pages to follow, still in the design page but should give you an idea of what to expect |

Nope, the picture just doesn't show up. All I get is a small box with a red X inside it, much as you do when an image link is broken.
Thanks! My browser actually stores the picture when I save the page to my hard drive, but the code to display the picture is not saved properly. I discovered that only when I copied the picture from the zip file you uploaded into the relevant subdirectory and was asked if I wanted to replace the original! The picture displays correctly here only if I insert that code into the page myself. Quote:
Thanks again! |
